Fresh Squeezed? Not in my opinion... 4/19/2007

I went for breakfast and ordered a large ""fresh squeezed orange juice"" for $3.50. The waiter went to the fridge, took out a gallon jug of orange juice and poured me a glass. Maybe I'm just silly, but to me, ""fresh squeezed orange juice"" means they have a juicer and they make the juice right then, right there. I asked an employee about this, and she told me that the juice is delivered to the restaurant every morning. She pointed out that it says ""fresh squeezed"" right on the label of the gallon jug.\r \r I looked up the juice maker (Perricone) on the web, and it does seem like a good quality juice. Perricone states on their website, ""most juice goes from plant to store within two days."" That's probably a lot faster than most bottled juice gets to the table, but in my book, it isn't fresh squeezed. I can't say anything about the quality of the food or the service, because I just left. more
