The food is O.K. Pretty much tastes like it is sent in frozen and warmed up for you. I could not really tell the difference between the frozen Marie Callender's meals in the frozen food section of the grocery store and the stuff you get at the restaurant. The pot-pies are good enough, fairly large and the crust is pretty good. I was not impressed with much else on the menu. The five or so times I have eaten there, I tried different things on the menu, and would have to say that the food is mediocre. If I ever eat there again, I will stick with the turkey pot-pie. The salad bar is basic, nothing really stands out. Breakfast is O.K. The service is not the greatest, and I felt like it was an inconvenience to the waitress to wait on me. It was hard to get anyones attention just to get refills of drinks. The cornbread is great, and the pies are the best. I thought the cheesecakes looked good but were pretty expensive. I don't eat there anymore, just drop in on occasion get a pie and leave. The next time I'm there I might get a muffin to take home and try out. The restaurant itself is well decorated and clean, but not enough so to make up for the so-so food and ho-hum service. I would say all in all Marie Callender's is somewhat of a let down from my expectations. They are supposed to be legendary for their food, but I was really dissapointed.
Pros: go for the pies....
