PARADISE - LOST 4/17/2007

My friends and I are all in the service industry downtown, and we have been laughing hysterically about the reviews of Paradise Park. First of all, the bad ones are probably, for the most part, true, and the good ones are obviously made up. We had burgers and Beer there last week, and it was no better than average. It wasn't the worst food we ever had, but it was by no means ""Amazing."" They must have a PR spin doctor writing glowing reviews. Whoever it is has also been trashing Cadillac Ranch hard. In truth, both are equally predictable Broadway tourist traps that have their moments. Everyone on Broadway knows Paradise Park has been writing their own reviews (the first 5 have the word ""amazing"" in it. Most of the others, always have a name like ""nashfoodcritic"", ?Nashville native?, or ?Foodguru? etc?). I heard people at the Beer Seller laughing about it this past Sunday night. Seriously, most of these ?reviewers? would have you believe they all live and work downtown, but all are oddly concerned about ?parking? (Something no downtown resident cares or thinks about). In almost every case, the person reviewing has only reviewed one place, but strangely enough, these ?downtown residents? spend enough time on Citysearch to monitor the negative reviews of Paradise Park, and they all are compelled to ?set the record straight? or give their ?two cents? about it. My advice is focus on your own food, and quite writing these silly transparent reviews of your own place. You can?t fool or please everyone. If you ever do have good food, there might be those that will take the time to compliment you. However, everyone knows that in this business, most satisfied people don?t go home and jump on the computer to write a ?good? review. Pros: 24 hours Cons: Inferiority complex more
