I've been coming to this area for years and I love this place. In the tavern or the dining room, the ambience is warm and friendlly and the food, mostly classic American, is great. Favorites include the prime rib, pork chops, spare ribs and burgers, not to mention the twice baked potatoes and the curly fries. Even if the Wayside was in New York City I would go there at least once a week, but in this part of Columbia County, it's got the field to itself.
