One of the first times I went to Nicholas' was Christmas day 2005. We had a Christmas eve gathering with friends who were not going home for the holidays. We woke up Christmas day sans leftovers and our cupboards bare. If we were to find anything open we would need to get ethnic... As we walked inside of the restaurant we were one of three couples ( I have never seen it without a line since). Our meal was just what we wanted for Christmas. I had the lentil soup and we had the vegetarian mezza all of it was fantastic. The tabuli salad is by far the best I have ever tried.
Pros: amazing food, attentive staff, open 7 days a week, outside seating
Cons: location, tables are tightly packed, no debit/credit machine
