Americanized tapas - what a concept!! 4/26/2007

LeeLynn's is a little difficult to find, but it is worth the effort. Tucked away behind Rte 29 and Rte 100, and located opposite a liquor store, it is easy to underestimate the culinary experience available inside its doors. So far, my wife and I have not had an average dish. They have all been delicious, imaginative and not your standard fare. The most interesting are the "little plates" - tapas-style delights such as home made potato chips, chicken satay, and others too numerous to list. Two or three of these plates are plenty for a couple to split and feel very satisfied. Salads are terrific, too. No tasteless iceberg in these - very tasty greenery and delicious steak, or chicken or cold cuts adorn these orders. And don't forget to try the cream of crab soup - my wife made us go back the next night after our first visit just to order that soup again. You can even get a great sandwich if you are looking for more casual fare. My wife ordered a rueben that was one of the night's specials that was as good as many you'd find in an authentic NYC deli. The only negative I can think of is that sometimes you have to wait for a table - highly recommended. Pros: "Little Plates," Crab Soup Cons: sometimes a crowd more
