Last Aug I purchased a GE front load washer from Mike at appliance world in Germantown.\r
I bought it over the phone with a credit card. I live 5 hours away and could not pick up the washer right away. He said he would take good care of it, that it was new and only had a scratch on the front of it. A month later my son picked up the washer. I had him do it because I knew he would take good care of it, he's extremely carefull with such things. When I saw the washer I called Mike and told him that it was to damaged to even hook up, that it was not new but used. The water intake was rusty, the screen clogged, 6 dents in the service door that the drum must have dented, dents and scratchs everywhere.\r
He said he would contact someone and call me back. No call. I kept telling the story to people there but no one ever calls back. I'm told there busy, call Steve, but he's busy too. Why tell me to call someone and tell me he's to busy to talk to me. \r
Finaily I just canceled the charge I thought if they didn't have there money they would have time to talk to me. Not so. . They never gave me a reciept so the credit card co. kept asking me for more information a reciept. After months Capital One said they couldn't help after months of answering there letters and hours on hold. So much for whats in my wallet.\r
Talked to Steve he sounds like a telamarketer, he won't take the washer back, its been to long, said we damaged it ourself and would not belive that I did not use it. He said I should have done something right away. I did, but not easy if they won't talk to you\r

He said they don't sell used appliances, don't you belive it. Even GE knows it, they sell junk that is suppose to be fixed to work when you buy it. I have now paid $580.00 for a washer that I have never hooked up and will have to pay to junk it. Plus, I got insulted by some little creep that can't get a better job.My advise is to stay away from Appliance World
