Good price but focused on Dance Team and competition. 3/21/2007

As a mother of 3 girls, we have tried many dance studios and found this studio to be one of the better values in town. The price is very good and they have a few highly qualified intructors. They produce a very good year-end recital and they have an award-winning dance team. The studio is extremely popular and fall registration starts as early as May; even then, you may find yourself waiting in a long line only to be closed out of the best classes. This studio is very strong in jazz and tap. The ballet is fairly good, and the acro is not very advanced. Unfortunately, the students here are not very welcoming to newcomers and are rather competitive. The instructors tend to teach towards the dance team members and are not very concerned about the other students. The recitals are very good but tend to run long and are filled with ""dance team"" and ""teacher"" numbers. If you want your child to get the best training that this studio can offer, then you must become part of the dance team; otherwise, a child just taking a recreational dance class could become discouraged here. Pros: Great Price Cons: Too focused on dance team more
