Song re-defines ""affordable' in our ever gentrifying hood. Affordable is not specific to price. Rather, it is the value proportionate to taste, freshness of ingredients and PORTIONS. Im a hungry dude and no other place in the neighborhood satiates my needs as consistently and invitingly. Loud Music, modern and slightly industrial design keep the place busy and relevant (hipster, rather than homey), but who really cares. I know the menu inside and out, but here are my highlights. The ""Tom Ka Gai"" is exceptional in a bright limey coconut broth and raw mushrooms added last minute (not to mention a heaping amount of sliced chicken and fresh cilantro). The fried eggplant salad is an under the radar treat; a large salad, perfectly lovely on its own is topped/garnished with practically a full order of fried eggplant. The Calamari is crispy and light with what appear to be no salt, which is beautifully odd for something which tastes so good. The real treat on the menu is the damn Pad See Yue, perhaps the most addictive dish I have ever had. You just cant stop eating it. My guess is sugar is the secret (addictive) ingredient. Ask for extra Chinese Broccoli (they used to be WAY more liberal with their ingredients). One last thing folks, the lemon garnish it is served with, Avoid it! It has a strange way of negating the goodness of the dish. Oh, cheap booze too! Drunk and full and under $20. We like! Pros: Portions, Value, Service Cons: Loud more
