Well finally I encountered a local independant store that had a crust without a gum line or was doughy. The problem was that the crust was tasteless and extremely hard. You could break a tooth on it. The toppings were not to the edge. The cheese quality seemed above average and was plentiful. They have an 18" pie here which is rare. The sauce was average. They do have interesting pie combinations and I did try the BBQ chicken. This was a surprising delight. The cheddar cheese and chicken were great and it melded well with the sauce.
