I had set out for a wonderful experiance at amerigos. The resteraunt had been recommended so my husband and i thought we should give it a try. Our experiance began with us waiting for five minutes before we were offered a seat, most ungraciously. "How many" were the first two words spoken to us. Once we were placed in the back of their cafeteria, we began our wait. It took about six minutes before an unfriendly and abrubt server with dark hair and tennis-shoes "greeted" us. It felt like we bad for being there. We couldn't actually order food for fiteen minutes. When our crabcakes finally came out, they were cold and dry. Upon informing our server, she merely removed the plate. While waiting for our main coarse to arrive, our beverages went empty and weren't refilled. Once my alfredo fettucini and my husbands potroast were delivered, the experiance got worse. We were left with a table of dirty side dishes, and our food was lukewarm due to sitting under a heatlamp for five minutes. The alfredo was pathetic; not only thick and bland, but lacking in any garlic or flavor. My husbands potroast on the other hand, was still relatively warm and had some flavor to it; then we noticed the curly black hair protruding from his mashed potatos, and decided to wait for the servers return to bring our problems to her attention. Roughly ten minutes later, she breifly apologized and removed the dishes. She then offered us desert on the house, which we declined, and the quickly brought us our bill with a quick mention of "whenever your ready". So we paid, left fifteen percent, and quickly removed ourself from the awful and strange enviroment. In short, I would dissuade any adventurers from exploring this venue; not only was the service and enviroment awkward and incomplete, the food was mediocre and uninspiring. I would reccomend the people of lake oswego leave this resteraunt alone and stick to the tried and tested eateries just down the street.
Pros: Good wine selection
Cons: everything else
