Unaware that my laptop was still under warranty, I paid $375 to have the LCD replaced. Several months later, when I took my laptop to another store to have the hard drive replaced, I learned that it was under warranty. I also found out that Toshiba-authorized repair centers need to run the computer's serial number through a system, to see if they're under warranty. Interesting, but I assumed that Computer Drive simply forgot to run my computer though this warranty-check system. Out of curiosity, I called Toshiba to see if any claims had been submitted against the warranty. As it turns out, one was, just four days before the $375 charge was posted to my credit card. I went to Computer Drive and asked them to rectify the situation. They said they couldn't understand how it happened, and vowed to look into it. After they failed to get back to me, I repeatedly contacted them without any response.
