We were really excited to try Agnanti, given Zagat's high ratings but this place was horribly disappointing. They do not respect reservations. We had 6:30 reservations and they did not have any indoor seating for available for us. We ended up sitting in the outdoor awning protected tables that were still pretty cold because we did not want to wait. There were several groups with reservations that were waiting for at least 30-40 minutes. We saw a couple storm off in frustration. Yet, they happen to let a group of 8 walk right in and sit down while groups of two were waiting around. \r

The appetizers were well made. We had the saganaki which was really good. The entrees were fairly bland an uninspiring. \r

We also asked beforehand to make sure they take credit card which they do. However when the bill came after they took our credit card, they actually write on the tip section, ""cash please"" and they write in the total for you without the tip so there's no way for you to write it in. I thought that was very sketchy. \r

Not worth the trek to Astoria if you're not nearby
Pros: good price, decent appetizers
Cons: bad service, long wait, far from the subway
