The lady who had been cutting my hair for the last few years has vanished and I don't know where to find her. Finding someone new to cut my curly/wavy hair is always an anxiety provoking experience. I've had more than my share of truly horrible cuts in my life and many more just mediocre ones. I'm 51 and I want to look stylish, but not like a middle aged woman trying to look like a twenty something and I don't want to spend more than five minutes styling it in the morning. I know that's a lot to ask for in a haircut and from a cutter, but that's what I want. and generally I go away dissapointed in some aspect. I found myself looking in Citysearch this week for recomendations in my area and saw a few rave reviews for Jo at Sit Still. I found it comforting that the owner and stylist's respond to negative reviews and offer to fix the problems, I don't see that done very often and it showed me that they feel that they offer superior service. Anyway I called booked an appointment for this morning and went in armed with pictures and hope. Jo was wonderful, she sat me down, talked to me (FYI shes also a delight to talk to, very friendly and warm), looked at my pictures and went to work. In just 30 minutes I went from looking dowdy to WOW!!!! My hair looks just fabulous; really cute and with just the right amount of spunkiness to keep me from looking like the old foggie I am. I'm absolutely in awe of the wonderful job she did. I will be back and recommend Jo and Sit Still to anyone looking for a great haircut.
Pros: The best cut I have had in years! Nice place without the usual ear blasting music in most salons
Cons: The entrance to the metered parking is hard to find at first.
