My boyrfiend and I went to Strings on Valentine's Day based on a few recommendations. I'm thinking people who have enjoyed this restaurant have been here before when it was not a holiday. When we first got there we waited at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender said they would send a waitress over to serve us, but no one showed. The service the rest of the evening was similiar. We only saw our waitress twice, there was no overview of the menu, and our wine took almost as long as our appetizers to arrive. They had a set menu. My boyfriend ordered the venison, which appeared to only be raisons and sauce with no meat. My ravioli was borderline raw and just awful. We received the last of the lobster tail, which was overcooked and the butter sauce was extremely salty. The only positive outcome was that upon complaining, we were not charged and offered a free lunch.
Pros: Good wine and we were compensated for our complaints
Cons: poor service and food
