I've been here several times over the last 12 or so years. My mom lives nearby and every time I visit her, at some point we end up at Capt Hirams. It's a fun place - they have a ""sand bar"", live music, good food and good service, indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is casual and beachy with a wonderful ""river"" (Inter-Coastal Waterway) view. Good for families as well as singles and couples. It's a good, all-around place. Loved by locals and visitors.
Pros: Atmosphere, food, service, music.
Cons: Parking - but it's getting better.
