What a bad company!!!!! 12/19/2007

I have a cybershot camera from sony that a few pixels in the lcd stopped working still under warranty. I called sony support and explained my problem with them, The tech then told me it was covered under the warranty and to ship it to Precision Repair and it'll be repaired. Alright, so i shipped it out the next day all nice and packaged safe total to ship was about 10$. I await for a phone call from them but nothing for about a week so i decided to check on the website tracking , On this tracker it told me payment was due to call so i did. The first lady i spoke with after being on hold for 20 or so mins told me she'll request a picture and call me back. Another week goes by so i decide to call them back, This time this lady told me it was being worked on to call back 5-10 days. So i wait... Call back after 10days and they told me i had to pay almost 500$ to repair this . I called sony support again and then this time around sony told me LCD screens isnt in their warranty cover. I asked why didnt the first tech tell me this insted of making me waste 10$ and a month of my time?. I asked to speak to someone higher up than her and guess what? You cant speak to anyone but the tech supports , They gave me a address i could write to a committee to get higher up than them. So i recieve my damage camera back from precision today with a letter saying that they couldnt repair it due to the LCD and it was beyond repair. Cant replace a lcd screen i see.. Weird . Now after turning my camera back on the WHOLE screen now is broken before i sent it to them it was just a few pixels. Bad Company Beware! Pros: Hearing the same song over and over while waiting on hold for 20+ mins. Cons: Packaged my even more damaged camera due to them nicely! more
