We went here on the recommendation of a friend of a friend, and were pleasantly surprised. Not many people in the place (and it's a HUGE space!) on a rainy Thursday night, but hopefully that will change because it would be nice for a place like this to stay in business on the West side. We had the polenta fries that past reviews raved about and they were probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The ""fries"" were good but the gorgonzola butter served with them wasn't great; it had separated so that the actual butter was on top and the cheese was kind of gunky and not easy to dip (as in it didn't adhere to the polenta very well). Our salads were much better. They serve a great Casear. And the main courses were very good: Diver Scallops served over lentils and a Seafood Risotto, both the specials of the night. The scallops were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The risotto was good, too, but the seafood was slightly undercooked. It didn't bother me, but it might not be to everyone's tastes (especially people who tend to like everything VERY well done, even their seafood!). Our server was very nice but maybe a bit overeager and tended to repeat the same phrase over and over, but I'll take that over a pretentious/rude server any day! Also, they were out of the wine I ordered by the glass, but our server recommended another glass that I liked so much I plan on going out to buy a bottle or two on my own. We will definitely go back.
Pros: Good Food, West Side Location, Nice Ambiance
