Yesterday my husband and I were heading to another 'rib joint' in Westchester which happened to be closed on Monday. A friend recommended MJY's saying ""they are the absolute best you have to go there, and they are open today"".\r

We were starving! It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon and we hadn't had anything other than coffee. So to Mighty Joe's we went. The moment we stepped in the ambiance was warm and inviting. The dining room was empty (it was a late, late lunch) and we had the entire dining room to ourselves. After being seated, we saw the roaring fireplace and just had to sit beside it. We thought we were in heaven THEN! It was so romantic. Be felt like we were cheating! The roaring fire, a glass of wine. I thought we were in an Aspen chalet (the taxidermy helped)!\r

Heaven... approached as a 'half slab' of sage ribs!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! and then some.\r

Thankfully, we ate alone because sauce was running down my chin. It wasn't pretty but the ribs sure were! We are very much looking forward to our next visit. I have to tell you... I barely slept last night knowing my lunch remnants were in the refrigerator. Needless to say... they were my breakfast.\r

All I dreamt about was being stuck beside the smoker during a snow storm with a big smile on my face- knowing I wouldn't run out of ribs to eat.\r

Hmmmmm, it's only 12:35 maybe I can still make it for lunch today!\r
Cons: Homemade peanut brittle came along with the check.
