Walking into Shark's is like walking into any surf shop you would find on any coast strip. The shirts are colorful and the sandals are everywhere you turn. They even have a tiki bar in the front, covered in tiki mugs and dashboard hula girls! My favorite part of the store is the basement, though. They have hundreds of styles of shoes down there. I'm a bit of a shoe hound, but I've spent an hour down there without realizing it. It's where I always get my Chuck Taylors and Puma shoes. It's not so much the brands they have as the styles they deal in. All of the colorful and edgy designs that are usually what I find in special order catalogs are the ones they actually carry! I give it five stars because every time I go in there, the people like to talk and chat, just like a lot of the local businesses in Lawrence.
