If you have the client of your lifetime and you need to choose one place to impress him / her, take that person here. You will NOT be disappointed. This is truly one of the greatest finds in New York.\r
You are welcomed into this chateau within a very nice residential neighborhood. After getting seated the experience is top notch from start to finish. First, they have a 3' binder for a wine list. Their cellar is one of the most comprehensive in the country with what I hear is about $5m in inventory and access to some of the greatest reserves that vineyards have to offer. We chose the Chef's Tasting Menu, which gives you several courses and choices of some of the best menu items. If you don't like 1 -2 of the items, they will also allow you to switch some out with an item that better suits you. Each course has a related wine pairing, which takes the meals to an unseen level of exception and eloquence. Overall, the meal cost 2 people $400, so its definitely not for the faint of heart. However, if you would like the greatest meal of your life, this is the place to go. Included in our 5 courses was: Jumbo Lump Blue Crab salad, butternut Squash soup, Diver Seas Scallops, Foie Gras, Lamb and more. We each had slightly different courses for variety. It was amazing. Having been to restaurants throughout the world, I would say this by far exceeds all of them. I also hear that President Bill Clinton had dinner with Israeli leader Ehud Barak.
Pros: Everything was wonderful
Cons: NOt a single thing
