Luckily I do live in Utah so I can see Shep reguarly. If I ever move I will fly back to see him. He is the best hands down and I'm from LA and have lived in San Francisco, Washington DC and San Diego so that's saying a lot. A few months ago I was in New York and after a few blocks I started to get the creeps as I realized some guy was following me down 5th Ave. He finally stopped me before I went into a store to find out who cut my hair. Turns out he was a salon owner and wanted to see if he could poach my stylist. This is not the only incident like this - my husband jokes that he is going to get me a t-shirt that says, ""Shep does my hair"" with his number on it so people would stop coming up to me to ask that very question. The best thing about Shep and everyone that works there is that they are consumate professionals and the salon is hip and a little haven of metropolitana, but they are the nicest, friendliest least arrogant stylists I have ever met.
Pros: too many to list
Cons: people who aren't smart enough to book in advance will have to wait
