Parking on Roosevelt can be difficult, especially during the afternoon rushour. I had left my cell phone at Racer after spending several hours the evening prior lounging in one of the upstairs plush and threadbare couches playing a heated game of Scrabble and reminicing over the variety of 80's VCR tapes which were offered. I parallel parked and the person behind me threw a fit, honking and flashing me. I hurridly walked into Racer and was greeted by a standing ovation from a tablefull of white-haired senior gentlemen who had witnessed the whole affair. Even the dog wagged his way over to me with congratulations. The bartender handed me my phone and I went on my way, feeling as if I had just left my parent's house after a satisfying meal. I will be back.
