Every time my husband and I visit Cleveland (we now live 600+ miles away), we place a BIG order at Lucy's ahead of time! Everyone loves the baked goods from there--the cream-cheese cookies, strudels, and Hungarian nut rolls are unsurpassed for quality & taste. Actually, everything made at Lucy's is great! It's always a joy to return to the shop and visit with the owners and staff. Yes, the public area is a bit small--I call it cozy--but we have never thought the store as being ""dingy""! I have fond memories of how wonderful it was in the Buckeye area during the 50s and 60s--lovely homes and well-kept yards, friendly people, and great stores & restaurants. Now that the Balaton Restaurant is gone, Lucy's is the sole torch-bearer of times past in that beautiful Hungarian neighborhood with its wonderful people. We are looking forward to another holiday season in Cleveland, sharing Lucy's delectibles with our family and friends.
Pros: Service, Value, FANTASTIC pastries and baked goods. Stores has its own parking lot.
Cons: Nearby streets are sometimes congested during the holidays.
