I went to get some acrylic mediums and molding paste, they only carry the smallest jars and not a very extensive selection at that. Not a wide variety of paints or other supplies. It's a great place for "crafty" arts like flower arranging, and lots of little interior design accessories and scrapbooking doodads, but not much selection for fine artists. Grand Junction doesn't have much in the way of art supply stores. I've resorted to shopping for arts/painting materials online.
