It is a nice drive to Social Circle from most parts of Atlanta, but you will find it is well worth the trip. Social Circle is a quaint little Rural Town that is a throwback to earlier times. The Blue Willow Inn is a PERFECT example og going back to a slower easier time. The White Columns and the anti-bellium features take you back to the old south and a rural farm home! The food lives up to the expectations that are set by the decor. While waiting to be seated you are greeted by young ladies in Hoop Skirts serving lemonade! What a TREAT... The buffet and the different seating rooms are as diverse as the clientele! The fried chicken and the macaroni and cheese are as good as any you will find anywhere in the South. I can only remember my Mom's as being as GOOD! Eat until you can't move but PLEASE leave some room for the Paenut Butter Pie! We always try to sit in the Lewis Grizzard Room and enjoy the view of the old swimming pool (now a fountain) and take a few minutes to stroll among the Oak trees on the grounds after the meal. A visit to the Gift Shop is a must as well... Take the time, don't rush asnd enjoy the Hour long drive.... THE BLUE WILLOW INN IS WORTH THE DRIVE.
Pros: The Best Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese and Comfort Cooking anywhere around!
Cons: LONG DRIVE...... but worth it. Take your time.
