The Dream Hut has been part of the Bartonville landscape since my childhood. My favorites here are the pork tenderloin and the onion rings. The ice cream too is good, and they make some good milkshakes and candied ice cream mixes. The store is usually staffed in the summer by high school locals, which at times seem more into themselves than serving customers, but get in line in front of some kids they know and they're rush you right through. Regardless, this little ice cream stand is a must-go destination any time I go home. I hope it lasts for another 50 years!
