In regard of the Escobar incident about an ?accidental euthanasia? that was seen on the news a few months back and from the reviews I have read here, one would think we were talking about a different hospital. Here is my experience.\r

I would like to thank Gateway Animal Hospital for the care they?ve given to my dogs Gypsy and Zero over the past several years that I have been bringing them to this hospital for vaccinations, medical care, boarding, and in Gypsy?s case, her euthanasia this past week. In reference to that last item, their doctors and the front office staff were very sensitive and caring throughout the whole procedure and made a difficult and new (for me) experience warm and professional.\r

I do not get overly sentimental or romantic about dogs or pets in general, endowing them with anthropomorphic traits, but I don?t fault or deny others to have those feelings, and I am sure they are sincere and genuine. Even so I appreciated the care their staff has taken to meet the needs of all types of owners.\r

Gypsy was an outside dog usually gray and dusty as a result, and when we left town for a few days we?d always boarded her at Gateway (she was a barker and the neighbors demanded it). But I remember whenever I would pick her up I was always dazzled at how their staff would wash her up and make her look like a show dog! Our baths at home NEVER achieved the same result. Their care and attention were clearly appreciated and admired.\r
