After having surgery at Duke in Durham the last day of Oct. 2007, my wife developed complications 5 days later. I (in our car) delivered her to JMH about 4:00 am. She was registered in just a few min. and by 4:30 brought to the back of the ER. After getting her stable, x-rays then a CT scan found issues requiring admittance. Because the surgery was done a Duke, she needed to be transfered. The bad news is Duke has (of this writing) no beds, some 38 hrs. later. The good news is, all this time I have seen first hand one of the best teams work together I have ever seen. The level of care, and concern is second to none. I have had no better ER experience, and can't think how it could be better. Kudos!
