I've been to some good italian restaurants in my day, but this one ranks near the top! The first thing that I noticed about the restaurant was that it had a warm, friendly feeling, not intimidating or trendy like some of the Hollywood or Downtown LA italian places. This had a very down-to-earth, yet upbeat vibe to it. The place was relatively crowded for a Wednesday night, but the hostess was very friendly and my date and I were seated immediately. The menu had a nice variety of authentic italian dishes, and the drink and wine lists were not too shabby either! I had the chicken marsala and my date had the penne asparagi. Wow, was I impressed with both the meal and the portion size for a very reasonable price. The chardonnay was excellent as well! Our waitress was very courteous and responsive, which I feel is very important in good food service. We both were incredibly pleased with our overall dining experience. If you're ever in the South Bay area, I would highly recommend Gaetano's.
Pros: Great Overall!
