In Feb 2007, while on a weekend visit to NYC, my friends and I went to Lombardi's for the first time. We waited at the bar for about 15 minutes before we were seated but the wait was well worth it. I ordered the Gennaro's original with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil. After my first taste I proclaimed that this is pizza at its best: thin crust, incredible sauce with fresh tomato flavor and gobs of soft mozzarella cheese.
Pros: Fantastic Pizza, fast and courteous service, near subway station
