I have heard the hype surrounding the newest hot spot to land on the strip. To be honest I wasn't even sure if I would be able to get a reservation due to all the press I have been noticing! There I was on a busy Friday night with three of my friends and our wives. We had an 8:30 reservation, which I know can be a hassle in places like this. We waited about twenty five minutes for our table. While we waited, we enjoyed wild berry mojitos at the bar and soaked in the ambiance. I felt that I was in a place much different from my usual Hollywood stops. The North African design falls in place with the slick leather and candle light decor. Being a regular restaurant goer I am ok with a small wait. After sitting for only a moment, John the server came by and gave us the low down. We were told of the share plate style to their new Amarican cuisine, and he offered to order for us. We went for it and left ourselves in his hands. I especially enjoyed the tomato-watermelon salad, the lobster and goatcheese quesadella, and the short rib sopes. John masterfully put together a great culinary experience for us. We enjoyed sharing each others dishes. The manager came by at the end with complimentary champagne . He said he knew we had to wait for our reservation. I will go back again and again. The food was great, the service was superb. I found the hospitality at One Sunset second to none. My friends, and more importantly my wife, applauded my choice. We had a great meal in a great setting!
Pros: Great attentive service
Cons: On the weekends be ready for the late night energy
