I remember this place from way back in the late 80s, it was a huge party hangout back then. Because of a poor layout, the dancefloor was a cramped little enclosed square 12x20' with corner entries/exits. That is all gone now and the floor is wide open - much better.
Great place to hang out with friends or meet new ones. Not as busy as it once was - if you want crowds go downtown. Sometimes having a little room to move around is a good thing. If you meet someone you only need to take a few steps to the other side of the bar (or a little more to get outside) for some privacy. Try that at most dance clubs.
The main bartender - I believe her name is Elke? - really made us all feel welcome and the service we got was fantastic. She really was a standout. A+
Pros: Great retro music (Sat); friendly bartender; reasonable pricing; open space
Cons: A little bit of a drive from downtown, but not bad; Fri/Sat only nights that draw any crowd
