OK, if you're here, you want an honest review of a restaurant. That said, I think previous reviewer Justaful might be associated with the restaurant in some way. I believe this because the only other restaurant he's reviewed is owned by the same people as Hot Stix. Anyway, we dined at Hot Stix prior to the other reviews and found it to be so-so, with the potential to be better. The space was cool, the overall concept good and the value wasn't bad. But every single issue I had with the place was the kitchen's fault. The rice was extremely overcooked, the beef was tough as shoe leather and orders submitted to the kitchen at the same time came out 10 minutes apart. And we were only one of four tables seated! We'll try again, but will give it time to improve -- it was literally the first week. I probably wouldn't have written anything yet if Justaful's review didn't overpromise so much.
Pros: The atmosphere is nice for fast casual and the service was friendly.
Cons: There's definite room for improvement when it comes to food sourcing and prep.
