AVOID buying greendot prepaid cards! Greendot cards are a rip off. There customer service is awful and slow!! They take money off your card for fees that you have never heard of, customer service operators are rude and barely speak english! They put a hold on my card because I recieved a rather large amount of money in a direct deposit and I had to prove to them that the money was actually owed to me!!! I sent 8 faxes and then that still wasnt good enough. Finally I had to call the corporated office who was no help at all...they transferred me back to customer service. Finally, I had to get a lawyer to have the card closed and a check mailed to me. I would not recommend this card to my worst enemy!!!!!!
Pros: buying online or over the phone is possible
Cons: it's a rip off....they steal your money
