The new format instituted by Hometown Family Radio is quickly earning its old moniker MORe Krap. Still calling themselves "" The Rock of the Bluffs "" while playing some country, POP, and Rap. Yes, I heard Kid Rock again this morning. \r
I am finally motivated to purchase an MP3 player. It's time to dust off the old vinyl collection and start riping some tunes, even if only to fill in the the spaces between the ""rock"" on the radio. Some of the newer rock is acceptable, thougn mostly not thrilling. I even enjoy the ""Metalica Moments"" .\r
My wife and I were both active members of "" The Classic Rock Station"" listener advisory board, and contributed several times to the ""work force blocks"". The Classic rock station format wasn't perfect either and I don't expect the radio to play what i want to hear, but a staion advertising themself as a rock staion might want to stay in the genre.
Pros: not the same 100 tunes every day
Cons: stepping outside the rock genre on "" the rock of the bluffs""
