My wife and I were in New Orleans to celebrate our wedding aniversary, after rebuilding Katrina destroyed homes in Mississippi. We had a reservation at Emeril's for 6PM. The momemt we arrived the service was excellent and the resturant was beautiful. I chosed the ""tasting"" menu; my wife had a salad with a skate entree, and we shared a wonderful bottle of Austrian wine. The issue was with my tasting entree. The plate consisted of a very dry, tough pork chop on top of dry tough meat. I was offered another dish, but I declined, since I expected it to be correctly done the first time. This was all followed by the best desserts. If my meal was prepared correctly, I am sure the rating would have been 5 stars.
Pros: Ambience, Service, Wine List, Dessert
Cons: Tasting Menu
