If you are thinking about purchasing an over-priced Englander Mattress, run out of the store and hold onto your wallet! We purchased a mattress from Mancini's Sleepworld in Union city California in October 2006. The first one I purchased was waay too hard so I chose the option to upgrade to another mattress. BIG MISTAKE! We found out the hard way that they used a cheaper latex core in the premium mattress sets. We did lay on the mattress in the store for 15-20 minutes and it felt fine. The defect becomes apparent after you sleep on it. The layers compress and it becomes a hammock during the middle of the night. We took it to the Englander factory in Stockton, ca to have them firm it up. When they opened it up to take out the layers we noticed that they had used a cheaper latex core in their premium sets! I PAID MORE AND GOT A DUD! Removing some of the padding layers didn't help firm it up. It was just as soft as before. The warranty was very carefully written to insulate the manufacturer from warranty issues. The brochure that came with the bed states I should contact the store for warranty claims. The store states I should contact the manufacturer. NOTHING BUT BUCK PASSING! I supposedly have a 15-year warranty on this bed. So here it sits up against my family room wall. Neither Mancini's or Englander will honor the warranty. I am only 135 lbs and it cannot support me let alone my husband who weights 220 lbs. If that isn't a warranty issue what is? I have contacted Tualatin Sleep Products and they have yet to return my call. Englander used to make great beds. They have gone down hill since they were purchased by La-Z-Boy in 2002. I have over $1600.00 invested in this bed. They change they designs everh 6 months so they don't have any track record of defective mattress designs. They can just pull them and cover it up. I don't want another Englander!\r
