we've been to st. augustine a number of times and this restuarant is always packed so we decided to check it out. the restaurant itself is beautiful and charming, our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the outside courtyard is gorgeous, but the food is just awful. the crab soup was sickeningly sweet, the jumbalaya was bland, and the fried eggplant and crabmeat had no flavor. our bread plates also had gum stuck to them when they arrived at the table--gross!!! all in all, i'd say this is a great spot to take a break from walking and have a few drinks in the courtyard, but anything other than that will leave you disappointed.
Pros: ambience, location
Cons: awful food!!! lack of attention to detail
