Great Burgers and Sandwiches 10/1/2007

This week, while I head toward an academy near Knott's Berry Farm, I noticed Paul's Place, which I have read and seen very good reviews from online and from friends, one of them claiming that she was the daughter of the owner. Anyways, I step inside and there are barely any people inside. I have heard that this place was crowded, but I guess today I came at a bad time.\r ____\r The decor was very beach-ish for me,. It wasn't exactly eye-candy, but it was a good-enough atmosphere for families to just sit down and enjoy burgers and sandwiches.\r ____\r Anyways, I decided to order the Garden Burger, because I've been trying to go on a diet. I get this bigger than average burger with fries on the side. I eat the burger, and I feel like I'm in heaven. The burger patty itself tasted like it was really beef. However, after a closer inspection of the patty, I found no beef in the patty itself. Now this was a great veggie burger! A veggie burger that tastes like beef without containing any meat. Pleased with the burger, I was still hungry, so I bought a Gryos Sandwich.\r ____\r I get the sandwich. It looks like a regular byros sandwich, like the one's that anyone can get at Daphne's. I take a bite and I realize that this gryos sandwich is a lot more different than the gryos sandwich at Daphne's. the gyros in this sandwich was composed of somewhat thick slices of grilled lamb meat instead of that rotated meat. It came with some tzatziki that contained some cucumber chunks. It was thick, but not too thick, and went well with the gyros. The gyros samdwich also had som tomatoes and onions inside, but there weren't enough tomatoes and onions to make a taste difference.\r ____\r Later in the future, I will defitely be coming here more and more often!!! Pros: Great food at a good cost Cons: Right next to a McDonald's; often crowded more
