Located a few blocks northwest of the Cherry Creek Mall, a modest storefront on the corner of a leafy residential street opens into the inviting space that is Table 6. Here on the 2 nights that we visited, the open kitchen (flanked by a simple bar and the seating area) turns out dish after well-thought out dish with minimal drama & fuss. Standouts were the roasted chicken (and its companion poached egg in a jalapeno cornbread ""nest"") and the duck confit, as well as a salmon special served with pasta and the most delicious pureed pistachio and lemon sauce. Deserts were remarkable (you probably haven't lived until a hot beignet has exploded its molten chocolate contents in your mouth), and matched with an unusual selection of desert wines & ports, on a par with the excellent wine list. Overall an excellent and well valued choice for dinner away from the usual Cherry Creek crowds
