Not a Good Experience - they do not want children in there! 10/23/2007

I was so happy that they opened a Japanese restaurant in our area and decided to go there for sushi. We usually sit at the sushi bar even though I have my 2 children with me. Growing up with raw fish and fish itself, my children loves sushi and we've always sat at the sushi bar wherever we have been for sushi. However, at this place, I asked if we could wait for the sushi bar and we will just be outside. It was okay for one lady until another lady came up to me, looked at the kids and said, ""NO"" sit at the table. I said, well, we will wait for the sushi bar, she looked at the kids again and said ""NO"" at the table. I told her okay fine, we will leave, she said ok, and mumbled something to the other lady. The next day, I called and talked to someone on the phone about it, where she was nonchalant and didn't care. \r \r Like I said, I was excited to see a Japanese restaurant in our area and more and more businesses are coming in but we do not need the mentality of what this place has. I live in Litchfield Park and I will continue to drive to Mesa at our favorite sush bar (Sekai), where they respect children and see them as people. more
