This was our third visit to Canlis. The past few times we have been there it's been amazing. This time it was short of that. We selected the tasting course complete with wine. We didn't feel the wine complimented the dinner as good as we expected. The first course was served with sake. I'm not a fan of sake but my husband is. He thought it was ""OK"". The rest of the wine that was served with dinner was alright. The muscat with desert was awful. So that's 2 out of 4 wines that we didn't care for. The main thing that really bothered us was how rushed we felt. I wasn't done with my first couse yet when the waitress abruptly took my plate away. Mind you my fork and knife was still on the plate to suggest I was still eating. Every other course we had, we felt her peeking over our shoulders to see if we were done. Few times, they tried taking away my food before I was done and I had to explain that I wasn't done yet. You would think after the first time, they would wait more patiently. We had to ask to slow down our service. Our reservation was at 8:30 so it's not like someone else was waiting for our table.\r

With all that being said, dinner tasted wonderful. Which is why I wanted to savor every taste! The tasting menu was fantastic - it was just the wine we were dissapointed with. The restaurant is very romantic and we will be back - just hopefully with different servers!
Pros: Delicious Food
Cons: Pricey but worth it! Service felt rushed
