Whenever we travel away from our home town of Seattle we always try to stop at a local antique mall to see if we can find any antique and vintage buttons to add to our collection. We learned about the SF Antique & Design Mall from the internet. What we found when we arrived there was an incredible inventory of everything from true historical treasures to wonderful junk. They have it all! Everything is wonderfully displayed without looking cluttered and is very well lit. The staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive, yet didn't make you feel like they thought you were about to break something or were on the verge of shoplifting. It was very relaxed. Being from out of town, we especially appreciated the service we received from ""Randy."" Randy was dandy! We found what we were looking for and even purchased a couple of great items we weren't looking for. Pricing seems to be fair to both seller and buyer.\r

There were only two minor ""negatives"" we can think of. The first was caused by bad timing on our part. The rush hour traffic was horrendous. The second was the upstairs portion of the mall. It wasn't nearly put together as well as the main floor. But these were minor things and did not take away from the enjoyment of our ""antiquing"" experience in the least. The next time we're in San Fransisco we will make SF Antique & Design Mall one of our priority destinations. We visit a lot of antique malls around the country, but this one surpasses them all. If you go there be sure to ask for Randy.
Pros: Selection. If you don't want to buy it, it's still fun to look at. Like being in a time machine!
Cons: Traffic!
