My 'below average' rating is for this visit only. My fiance and I generally enjoy our meals at Pronto but have found it to be pretty inconsistent of late. We had a late afternoon lunch on Friday. The place was fairly busy with lots of folks on the patio soaking up the last of summer. \r

I ordered the Mediterranean salad and my fiance had Patti Smith's Paradise sandwich. The avocado slices in the sandwich really make it happen--too bad they arrived on the sandwich hard and inedible. Rather than being soft and delicious, the slices were crisp like an apple. No good! Both the tomato on her sandwich and the tomato on my salad were mealy and unappetizing. The chicken on my salad was overcooked, thus dry. It appeared to have been sitting around for some time. We informed our waitress of our feedback but she seemed fairly indifferent. \r

We're certainly in rush to get back there. Royal Oak offers plenty of other tasty options.
