I recently made two stops to Home Depot over the last week to buy paint. I purchased two gallons of paint on the first trip, then needed two more of the same for a second coat. The second two gallons were tinted with the wrong base color, which surprisingly made a HUGE difference. When it dried it looked like I painted the room two different shades of green. At first I didn't realize why it looked so different- the stickers on the top of the cans said the same exact thing so I had no idea-until I started reading the can. The first two said ""Accent Base"" then second two said ""Pastel Base"". Ah-ha. So I called up the Home Depot and they said to bring in one can of the first and another of the second so they could check it out. I did and Jess the store manager & Dawn the store associate were so helpful! She credited me the two wrong cans and gave me a store credit in addition to that to help offset the scafoldding that I needed to now rent a second time for this job. Jess apologized for the problem and said she felt really badly about it. She was very polite and went above and beyond. Despite the paint problem I'll still always go back to the Home Depot because of their customer service! Thanks!! Pros: Jess, Store Manager & Dawn- great service! more
