This restaurant offers an excellent selection of regional Italian food in an attractively decorated venue. Appropiate, soft, live keyboard entertainment is provided weekend nights. The menu is priced a la carte and prices are high considering the restaurant is located in a somewhat out of the way spot the Florida Keys and not in Miami Beach. Caesar salad and a couple of entrees are prepared table side. Most attractive is the Steak Dianne that the server will flambe' at your table. At about $35 it is one of the more expensive entrees offered. While the overall food quality is consistantly very good, service, while initially attentive, can become painfull slow between courses. Plan to take your time for dinner here. A very attractive wine list is available but most patrons will find the choices overpriced. Beware of their tendency to suggest a wine selection other than the one you may have chosen only to find out at the time of the bill presentation that the ""suggestion"" carried a much higher price tag. On a recent visit our party of four wanted to sit at the small bar and enjoy a glass of wine before being seated but we felt quite rushed to take a table. Overall this restaurant rates a recommendation for the quality of the food and ambiance. The service issues and prices may be troublesome for some patrons used to a faster paced and more moderately priced experience.
Pros: Excellent regional Italian fare, good wine list, good parking.
Cons: Service can be slow. Prices a bit high.
