The restaurant doesn?t seem very clean and the entrance smelled musty/moldy. The flavor of the food was average at best. They certainly do give you a LOT of food but I would have preferred a smaller portion with more flavor. Customers assume they are getting a great deal because the restaurant allows you to bring your own wine however La Stanza makes up for it by overcharging for very average food. (How can you justify charging 20 for a bowl of pasta with no meat?) They do allow you to split a meal however they will charge you 10 dollars for the service. Our bill was $180 with out the tip and of course with no alcohol for 4 people. I should note that we split an appetizer and shared dessert. I do not mind spending $25 for a bowl of pasta in a place that offered a nice tablecloth and/or cloth napkins however the tables at La Stanza were covered with cheap plastic tablecloths and paper napkins. Also, beware of the wait staff trying to ?up sell? menu items i.e San Pellegrino extra appetizers etc?. Do not go out of your way to try this place. If you want good Italian food in the suburbs try Cafe Molise in Wakefield instead. They have a much nicer atmosphere, better food, large portions etc and they aren?t as expensive
Pros: Extensive menu with unique choices
Cons: Dirty, overpriced
