My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Friday night. All other places had a waiting time of over 45 minutes so we decided to give it a try. Surprisingly , ShoGun?s parking lot was almost empty which we figured out later was for good reason. We got seated very quickly and got our drinks almost immediately. This was the only enjoyable part of the evening. When the chef arrived and announced ?see ya tomorrow? in regards to the fact that I like my steak well done kind of stunned me. I know that some people are trying to be funny, but it did not come out right in the beginning. Throughout the process he was still making rather rude comments. I had a feeling that I had personally and seriously offended his entire family. For instance when I was ?consulting? with my girlfriend about nature of the sauces he interrupted me with the question ?why I don?t like it?. Hmm, let me see. Because I did not have any food on my plate and I did not have a chance yet to try it out before I establish whether I like it or not. I can understand that the restaurant is slow and you don?t make as much money, but the best advice I can give to you is to find another job. If I am spending $50 bucks on the dinner of two the least I should expect is not to be interrupted by smart *ss comments from the cook and not to feel guilty about making him work on Friday evening. The last straw was when I asked to pour soya sauce on my food, he replied with the comment -?Of course, it?s free anyway?. That?s pretty much concluded my already not so good mood for the night.
