Usually stay in south Scottsdale, but always looking for authentic mex or southwest haunt. Traveled 20 miles with 3 others on a Sunday nite around 7:45. The restaurant was not very busy and we were not greeted with a friendly smile or attitude from the girl sitting in an empty booth talking with another employee (not about business). We were quickly seated and greeted shortly by an older waitress, that although with a smile, we felt as though she was going thru the motions. After getting our orders with 2 orders slightly incorrect for the type of beans asked for, our waitress did a nice job of attending to our needs. We were also later asked (my a Manager?) if everthing was OK...again without much of a personality or sincerity. It is evident so far that no mention of the good eats is mentioned because it was good...not great and the attitudes did not make us feel welcomed (was it just a bad nite, maybe). Would I travel 20-25 minutes again, probably not, but if I was in the area I would give it another try.
